Item Description
9x9-5/8" album w/20 pages, containing complete set of 180 thin paper color tinted cards; each is 2x2-7/8" and mounted at appropriate spots. Issued in Spain by Fher (known for their album and card sets), 1940s. One of two different Captain Marvel albums released by Fher, pages feature Spanish captions below each card (which features photo images as opposed to art as seen in other set), telling the story of the 1941 Republic movie serial "Adventures Of Captain Marvel," which starred Tom Tyler and Frank Coghlan Jr. in the title role. Cover image depicts Captain Marvel punching gunman as hooded and robed villain The Scorpion looks on. Large gold scorpion figure appears in bkg. Album's cover and pages have scattered aging, which is more moderate to covers. Spine shows wear w/tape repairs and splits. Album is VG overall. Cards are EX to NM as mounted. Rare complete album and first we've offered in our 52 years.
