Item Description
3.75x6.75x7/8" deep box contains New Haven watch w/1x1-3/8" silver luster metal case. ©1948 News Syndicate Co., Inc. Box lid has Chester Gould profile illustration of Dick Tracy and Dick Tracy Jr., complete w/original matching insert w/display easel on back. Lid has inked name on main panel and shows scattered wear including some tape residue. Box remains tight and Fine overall. Insert has tiny crease by die-cut watch slot and is o/w Exc. Watch has replaced leather bands. Dial has image of Dick Tracy from knees up w/"Dick Tracy" name across his waist. Dial has scattered pinpoint age spots (more prevalent towards top) and crystal has yellowed w/age and shows some surface wear. Winds and ticks a few seconds but needs a cleaning to keep time. Fine overall.
