Item Description
Five lapel studs, four with Gleason or Baldwin & Gleason name, issued c. 1896 to promote bicycles made by Stearns. Sizes are .75" to 7/8". One relates to William Randolph Hearst newspaper-sponsored cross-country relay race by bicycle in 1896. See following rare participant's award medal. Of these five, the "The Yellow Fellow" has faint dots on extreme edge and fabric cover on "Stearns Bicycles" is a little dark. Other 3 are Exc.
