Item Description
Extensive lot issued in 1958 for this DC licensed release (see previous item rare sign for this series). Text is in Spanish and title translates to "Superman On The Doomed Planet" an adventure that takes him into space to deal w/life on another planet. The album is 8.5x12.5" w/32 pages designed to hold set of 240 cards w/scene text below each designated card area. Great front cover art, back cover features ad for three different series including this one. Album is unused, no cards have been mounted. Lt. cover aging and some pinch creases along spine. VF w/Exc/NM pages. Comes w/near set of loose cards, 223 of 240. The paper stock cards have full color art fronts and text backs. Most are EX to NM. Also comes w/10 unopened packs w/Superman image on front, which are EX to NM. A rare foreign issue in general, let alone in near complete and unused condition (as these types of cards are almost always found mounted). Last auction we sold complete albums (card mounted) for both the 1958 and 1973 issues for $2,827.
