Item Description
14x36" poster for the original release of the first sequel to 1954's "Creature from the Black Lagoon." "Revenge" is notable for being the only 3D film to be released in 1955 and the only 3D sequel of a 3D film. Released in the US on May 11, 1955, it was followed by a sequel in 1956 - "The Creature Walks Among Us." The film also features an uncredited Clint Eastwood, in his first screen appearance. Poster features wonderful art, showing a looming Creature breaking free from his chains as crowds flee. An unconscious woman is seen before him. Poster was originally folded and has now been linen-mounted. Poster has had some professional restoration, including completely restored margins and color touch-ups to three original horizontal fold lines as well as some scattered spots of restoration, more notably on swooning woman's dress. Displays VF as restored and linen-mounted and would look great framed.
