Item Description
25-1/8x32.25" frame contains high quality photographic print from original negative on fiber-based archival paper. Photo features noted Canadian classical pianist Glenn Gould (1932-1982) and was taken by Don Hunstein (1928-2017), noted Columbia Records photographer who photographed countless musicians during his decades-long career at Columbia (1955-1986). Photo shows Gould seated in his ever-present chair that his father made (he refused to sit in any other chair to play, continuing to use it even after the seat had worn through). Gould sits before four grand pianos in large studio. Print was produced c. 2006 as Sony Music (Columbia Recordings) began exploiting their photographic archives. Lower left corner has embossed "Icon Collection" name. NM and ready for display.
