Vol. 22 #5 published Aug. 1 1937 by Street & Smith Publications, Inc. Cover features The Shadow unmasked, relating to "The Shadow Unmasks" cover story. While unmasked Shadow portrait is set amidst inset scenes w/text relating to The Shadow's Lamont Cranston secret identity. It was this issue where The Shadow's second secret identity (used in print) - Kent Allard - was first revealed. Complete and unfaded cover and spine, pulp shows some lt. wear w/.5" edge tear at center right of front cover and some scattered lt. age spotting. Cream-colored pages remain supple though w/some margin/edge age spotting. VG/Fine overall. Very desirable issue.
