Item Description
Original cardboard box w/"Howdy Doody Pin Up Lamp" text contains two-piece lamp by Acme Lanterns Inc. , © Kagran, 1950s. Box is missing 2.25x3" piece to top flap and shows some creases. VG. Generic wall unit is 4.5" dia. painted metal w/attached bulb socket pair and original electric cord/plug. Reverse has hanger hole. Thick, parchment-like "Polyplastex" shade is held to wire frame by vinyl gimp along all side edges. Shade features great images of Howdy Doody, Mr. Bluster, Dilly Dally and Clarabell squirting Flub-A-Dub. Original "Polyplastex" string tag attached to inner wire frame. Shade has lt. even aging w/lt. edge wear, but all images remain distinct w/strong color. Wall unit appears unused. VF/Exc. Scarce w/box and original tag.
