Item Description
12x18" on thin paper. Featuring iconic photo by Elliott Erwitt from the 'Kitchen Debate' at the opening of the American National Exhibition in Moscow. VP Nixon and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev debated the merits of Capitalism and Communism as they toured a model home built for the exhibition. F. Jay Nimtz capitalized on the image in his attempt to reclaim his Indiana US House seat but was ultimately defeated. Toning affecting top half. One each vertical and horizontal folds w/tiny hole at center junction and tiny separations at extreme outer edges of folds. Fine.  Mike Nichols Collection.
