Item Description
3.5x5x3" deep mailing box contains near-complete set issued by the Quaker Oats Co. in 1965. Box has mailing label w/o recipient name/address and shows expected mailing wear. Partial sticker label on back w/some handwritten notes. VG/Fine. Hard/soft plastic parts of this premium include 4.5" tall geologist's hammer w/Geiger counter attachment, four ore-rock specimens, magnifying glass w/tweezer and stand, goggles and sheet listing the parts along w/cut-out exploration maps. Goggles were issued w/two tiny stick-on tapes and two tiny metal mirrors which were designed to be attached to the goggles in order to see behind you. Missing both mirrors. Contents are Exc. aside from sheet, which has some aging and archival tape repair on back. Fine. Scarce. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Comes w/11" tall stuffed printed fabric doll that was issued as a mail-away premium in 1968. Exc.
