Item Description
Custom gold satin two-piece suit personally owned and worn by the Godfather of Soul himself, James Brown. Jacket has extensive rhinestone accenting to lapels w/fringe accents to lapels as well as undersides of sleeve and down left/ride side seams. Upper left shoulder has some scattered lt. soiling to front and back as does left sleeve below elbow. Back of jacket shows some minor staining to lower left panel. Lower right also has some scattered faint staining. Still displays VF overall. Pants have elastic band and dual metal clasps. Some minor scattered staining but VF overall. Suit was purchased from The James Brown Collection sold by Christies in July 2008, suit jacket still has attached Christies tag.
