Item Description
25.75x27.5"on cotton not including the backing fabric. Threads of History plate #131 on p.101. Design featuring Harrison, sword drawn in military uniform, on horse w/vignettes encircling including; the Battle of Tippecanoe, "North Bend" log cabin home (w/cider barrel and four drying hides), his log cabin home and an image of the US Capitol before the addition of the dome. Backing fabric has scattered holes at edges from previous framing. These do not affect the textile and this backing could be easily removed. Textile itself has a few scattered light brown moisture marks most notably at bottom left. Otherwise only faint even age toning. Fine. A striking textile that displays beautifully.
