Item Description
Deep wooden cigar box which originally contained 1912 Democratic candidate cigars. This national convention was held in the Baltimore 5th Regiment Army and was the last national political convention held in Baltimore. The convention lasted several days in a very humid August that took over 100 ballots to finally nominate New Jersey Governor Woodrow Wilson as the party candidate. Box has a few barely noticeable scattered spots. No splits or cracks in wood. Hinges and box Exc.
