Item numbers 1 though 954 and 3000 through 3054 in auction 190.
Item Description
Unusual FDR display plaque c. 1944. Portrait is high relief lead casting with hand-applied accent lines and hand-painted color. Necktie is accented by large rhinestone. Small color loss on cheek and nose. Couple paint chips off bottom edge of jacket. Bust is bolted to large 12x12" thin metal shield plated in chrome. Reverse has 2.5" cast iron hanger so item can be wall-mounted. Shield has pair of small ripple-like creases at bottom edge, just left of center. Chrome surface has all-over extremely fine surface scratches, apparently from prior cleaning. Shield retains it's all-over reflective silver luster. Item weighs over 6.5 lbs. Home-made and garrish but impressive tribute that exemplifies the gratitude felt by many Americans for FDR's leadership during the economic depression and war time. Fine and possibly unique.
