Item Description
This 17x22" poster was issued by "People's Coalition For Peace & Justice." Graphics of a skull are accented by 5 photos of Black and Asian adults and children in distress with title above "Death Has Many Faces We Demand Life!" Specific dates read "April 2, 3, 4...April 5 - Mule Train To Wall Street/Washington D.C. April 24 - May 25." The Mule Train Protest was part of larger anti-war event in DC by "Mayday Tribe" that included Yippies whose goal was to shut down the government on May 3rd. Nixon mobilized police and National Guard troops and 7,000 arrests ended the protests. From the Marshall Levin collection. Essentially Mint.
