Item Description
Pair of 1930s English hardcovers. "Mickey Mouse At The Circus" measures 7x9-1/8" w/28 stiff paper pages. Published by Birn Brothers, Ltd. 1930s. Each page features story panel and text, featuring Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar. Same art repeated front/back covers. Cover shows corner tip wear and inside front cover has faint inking. Pages have evenly aged and remain clean. Fine/VF overall. Comes w/8x10" hardcover published by John Lane the Bodley Head Ltd. ©1934 Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Ltd. 72 pages. Same art repeated front/back covers. Cover is missing .5" piece at top of spine and shows scattered wear at bottom. Corners show wear but cover remains totally bright and glossy. VG/Fine. Pages have some scattered age spotting and first two interior pages have pencil inscriptions. 15 bw pages have some coloring. Contents are Fine overall. No American edition of this book was published and it is a rare book even in the UK. One of the very few items produced for this "Silly Symphony" cartoon. We've only offered these books a few times in our 53 years.
