Item Description
Pair of tin litho sand pails by Ohio Art, © WDE, 1930s. Larger pail measures 5" tall (7-3/8" tall to top of upright handle). These pails were produced in both embossed and non-embossed varieties w/and w/o bases. This is non-embossed variety produced w/o base. Pail features great beach scene w/Donald Duck laughing as he watches Goofy dunk Pluto under water. Mickey Mouse's nephews run by w/harpoon. Pail is slightly misshapen and rims/handle show wear w/some scattered paint flaking to exterior. Interior of base has some bare metal to raised ring design. VG/Fine. Smaller pail measures 4.25" tall (6.25" to top of raised handle) and features great wraparound scene showing Donald hefting anchor that is wrapped around his leg and Goofy and Minnie Mouse enjoy sailboat powered by Mickey using bellows. Pail has some minor bends and shows scattered wear to rims/handle. Handle has some bends/denting. Mickey's face has some paint wear and there is small dent at bottom of pail by seam. Still Fine overall.
