Item Description
Pair of tin litho pails by Ohio Art, © Walt Disney/WDE, 1930s. First is 5.75" tall (8.75" to top of raised handle) and features great wraparound scene showing Mickey Mouse dressed as pirate on raft w/crossbones flag. Minnie Mouse sits at back of raft w/parrot. Pail has misshapen rim, which shows moderate wear and some oxidation. "Shirley" name scratched into paint below rim. Aside from a few small paint flakes, exterior remains bright and glossy. Interior shows some scattered wear. VG. Scarcer earlier Ohio Art Disney sand pail. Second is 5" tall (7.5" tall to top of raised handle) and features great scene of Mickey and Minnie w/Pluto and Donald Duck in rowboat as they approach city in magical kingdom. Pail shows scattered wear w/some paint flakes/scratches and streak of discoloration between Mickey and Pluto. Interior is missing majority of paint to inside bottom. Rim shows wear w/oxidation. VG/Fine.
