Item Description
Pair of 7/8" dia. club buttons. c. early 1930, first year of existence. A number of different imprints exist, all are scarce to rare and both of the buttons offered here are one of just two known examples for each imprint. Pair represents two different clubs, one w/"Fox California Mickey Mouse Club" imprint while other is marked "Fox Wichita Mickey Mouse Club." Both feature same very earliest Mickey image that includes U-shaped pants buttons, a design used very briefly before being replaced by Disney Studio-approved Mickey image. No backpapers as issued. Both have age dots around reverse collet w/lt. dots mixed in w/the front rim text on California example and more widespread on the Wichita example. Some trace oxidation to metal backs. California is Fine overall while Wichita is VG. Rare.
