Item Description
1-11/16" across, no maker, but with "31" incised in the unpainted flat white glass reverse. Reverse has hinged horizontal bar pin. The brass frame has a twisted rope design with many tiny brass prongs holding the glass in place. Depicted in gorgeous color is the Art Gallery building that stood in Fairmount Park. One horse drawn carriage and numerous people plus green foliage are in the foreground while the sky above the massive structure shades from pink to white to pale blue. The single most attractive wearable 1876 Centennial souvenir we've encountered in sixty years of looking. Ex Ed Potter and Ted Hake Collections. Essentially Mint. One known to us.
