Item Description
Large 2-5/8" tall high relief cast white metal pin issued c. 1942 likely for use on a coat or jacket worn by a US soldier's mother, wife, sister or sweetheart. Uncle Sam's cuff is accented by two stars. The  caricatured Japanese figure is in military uniform with gaiters. He winces in pain exposing his buck teeth and his slanted eyes are mere slits. The pin once had all over thin silver flashing with much now evaporated but with ample highlights remaining.  There is no damage to the figure or pin.  VF, an iconic WWII pin and rare.
