Item Description
First is 3.75x4.75" card containing "Gene Autry Super 12 Star Sheriff Badge" which has embossed image of Autry on Champion with text "Gene Autry Deputy Sheriff" around it. Each point of star represented various virtues. Second 3x4.25" card contains "Gene Autry Medal Of Honor" with small 12-point star "Deputy" badge with "Gene Autry Champ Crackshot Cowboy" badge attached. This medal has repeated image of Autry on Champion with "Honor, Merit, Valor" text. This was also for exhibiting various virtues. Both were made of jewelers commercial bronze by Daniel Smilo & Sons Inc. c. 1940s. Cards have light aging and very minor warp. Exc. Medals are virtually Mint. Both are rare.
