Item Description
1.25" without maker name. This first "Be" in  event took place at Central Park in New York City Easter Sunday, March 26, 1967. This is the button photographed for the back story write up on page 89 of Button Power by Carter/Hake. The button originated in the Marshall Levin Collection. This spring event, in what became The Summer of Love, was publicized by four organizers with a $250 budget that went to 3,000 posters, 40,000 handbills designed by and carrying the name Peter Max (see following lot), and a small number of these buttons. NM. Rare. Comes w/Hake's COA.
