Item Description
This classic toy's popularity saved the Lionel Corp. from bankruptcy during the Depression. 8x11-3/8x2.25" tall illustrated box contains 9" long wind-up toy w/attached 4.5" tall composition figures of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Box lid is evenly aged and shows scattered edge/corner tip wear and scattered soiling w/small stain above Minnie's head. Box is Fine for display. Toy is scarcer green body variety (also produced in red, orange and maroon). Mickey and Minnie's legs have been professionally replaced. Minnie wears original wooden hat. Rubber-covered tails have hardened and cracked w/age. Toy works well, figures move as if controlling the handcar and bell rings. Comes w/replacement key. No truck is included, easily obtained if desired. Figures have some lt. aging and hand car has tiny trace of paint wear. VF overall.
