3x5-3/8" envelope w/"G.M. Whipple & A.A. Smith Salem, Mass." in left margin. Lincoln stirs papers in a funnel placed in a large crock labeled "Pure Refined National Elixir Of Liberty." Poster on right wall reads "Lincoln's Renowned Rebel Exterminator Warranted Not To Spoil In Warm Climates." Other details include tiny hanging deceased figures of "Jeff Davis" and "Beau" in bottles next to a skull at upper left with caption "Preserved Grape In Canisters." Below, a beaker with curved neck holds papers reading "Slavery - Ark. - Texas - Virginia - Baltimore." Only minor handling wear and age toning. Exc. A nice example of this terrific scene.
