Item Description
Large and impressive 28" tall stuffed cloth doll depicts Howdy Doody's friend Clarabell. 1950s. Doll is dressed in satin-like outfit w/lace collar and Clarabell's box (in which he keeps his horn - not present) is cardboard w/"Clarabell By Madame Alexander" text on front and is attached around his waist w/original leatherette belt. Front of box has small surface paper left at upper left. Yarn hair and felt facial accents. Each wrist has metal jingle bell and one wrist has original small "Madame Alexander Dolls" foil tag attached. Some lt. scattered aging but doll and outfit remain bright and clean and are VF/Exc. overall. Rare and just the first we've offered of this larger size in our 54 years.
