Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid (featuring running Stallion and Nichols name on both sides) contains 11" long nickel finish die-cast gun w/engraved scene on barrel showing covered wagons and buffalo. Box is missing one inner flap and shows some corner tip wear but remains tight and Fine overall. This is first version of this classic gun, but does not features the notches around back of bullet cylinder as seen in the first mold. Additional images on gun include crossed tomahawks, bow and arrow, horseshoe and cowboy boots. Gun has revolving cylinder w/raised "Nichols Stallion 45" name under cylinder. All six cartridges present. White plastic steerhead/stallion grips w/red jewel accents. 1950. Gun appears unused but pitting is evident on shell ejector thumb slide and on cast metal bullets inside brass shell casings. Hammer has some aging and trace oxidation to grip screw/bolt. Still a nice, clean VF example.
