Item Description
2.5x8x35.25" illustrated box contains 34.5" long "Authentic Model Of The Amazing New Automatic Rifle Now Being Issued To United States Troops", the M-14 rifle. The real weapon was issued in 1958 and saw use in Vietnam. Box has lt. aging/wear, including some tan age spotting and minor creases. There was another version of the box w/this version featuring troops in battle. Fine. Unused plastic rifle features barrel recoil and rat-a-tat sound with batteries. Functioned when tested w/some coaxing. Possibly first time used when tested. Includes dried tape that fell off of battery compartment at some point. Rifle has lt. wear/aging. Butt has small glue smear from production. Very realistic toy rifle. Displays NM and rare with box. Marx Warehouse File Copy from the famous Scala/Bowers Accquisition and subsequent auctions.
