4x15x29" box contains complete playset #4658. 1950s. Box shows lt. aging/wear and contains the cardboard insert divider panels. VF. The tin litho mansion is unassembled and appears to have never been bent. There are Union soldiers in blue and Confederate soldiers in gray in multiple poses. Has four character figures in cream of Abraham Lincoln, General Grant, Jefferson Davis, General Lee. Includes wheeled spring-loaded cannons complete w/shells on sprues. Other accessories are horses, tents, American and Confederate flags w/poles and bases, stationary trench mortar, two sections of crossed stake barricades and numerous other small Civil War accessories. Also includes the desirable falling horse and rider figure molded in gray. The original instruction sheet has aged and has small edge tears. The entire set, building, figures and all accessories, are in unused condition. Tin parts may have minor marks/scratches from storage. This is one of the more popular Marx sets. Consignor purchased this set factory sealed, and carefully removed staples to examine contents. All contents are as produced and undisturbed in original bags as produced by Marx and NM as issued.
