Item Description
12-3/8x12.5" illustrated album cover features large record image and cover to Amazing Spider-Man #1 comic book. Part of a series of four records issued w/comic book reprints by A.A. Records, Inc. ©1966 Marvel Comics Group. Records were issued to help promote literacy and record features a word-for-word reading of the comic book, complete w/sound effects and page instructions. This is SLP186. Album still has factory shrink wrap attached, but this has been neatly sliced open along right and comic has been removed (see CGC-graded copy, item #1229). Shrink-wrap remains tight on the LP cover and all is still NM. No inner sleeve as issued but record remains NM. As nice as these come as most are found with moderate or worse wear. Comes w/12.5x13x4" deep shipping carton that once held 25 LPs as noted on side. Top of shipping carton still has original Golden Records mailing label w/typed recipient name/address. Carton has been opened and shows moderate wear from mailing. Label is evenly aged and carton is Fine overall. Rare.
