Item Description
16x61.5" tall wire rack that sits 22" deep when set up. Used to display DC Comics, late 1950s. Rack was made w/20 slots designed to hold comics. Top has 4x13.25" tin litho band w/both DC's Superman - National Comics logo and Comics Code Authority stamp images flanking "For The Best In Comics Reading!" and "'The Line Of Stars'" promotional text. Band has surface oxidation on back and some spotting to left/right areas where band is attached to rack, but front shows little wear and remains glossy and VF. Painted wire rack shows obvious wear w/all over oxidation. VG overall. Great items to display some of your favorite Silver Age comics. We sold a lesser grade example of this rare rack in 2019 for $1,427.
