13-3/8x15.5x3.75" deep box w/wonderful specialty art on lid contains near complete 19-piece Thermoplastic tea set (missing spoon as indicated by die-cut slot for it on insert) by The Hemco Plastics Division of The Bryant Electric Co. 1930s. Box is complete w/die-cut cardboard insert. Box lid shows obvious wear w/all over moisture spotting, corner splits w/internal reinforcement/repairs, fade to "Mickey" name on main panel and surface paper lifts at corners. Die-cut insert also has some moisture spotting. Box is VG overall. Set consists of 2-1/8" tall pitcher, 2" tall open sugar bowl, four 1-5/8" tall tea cups, 3.5" tall teapot (w/separate lid), four 3.5" dia. saucers and four 4.25" dia. plates. All feature same image of Mickey Mouse (some facing opposite direction). These pieces were sold individually boxed as well as in boxed sets by this company. Unfortunately, the teapot, teapot lid and one plate have moderate stresslines (w/hairline crack to plate) and these are Good/VG while rest are Exc. We have offered a couple of the three-piece boxed child's set by this company, this is just the second of these rare large sets we've offered in our 54 years.
