Item Description
17x23" frame with/7.75x11.5" & 7.5x9.25" openings. Currier print is nicely hand colored. Two horizontal tears at right one extending into the lapel of Dallas and an old touch up at bottom left. Print appears to be trimmed. VG. Letter is a pro-Polk election circular dated "October 26, 1844" and includes suggestions for getting out the vote concluding "Your Prompt Compliance With These Suggestions Will Contribute Essentially To The Triumph Of Polk And Dallas, And To Averting From The Country A Return To The Reign Of Terror, And All The Causes Of Federal Misrule." At lower right, twice signed "William Kutz." Handling creases, ink stains, margin notations and age toning throughout letter. VG. Not examined out of frame.
