Item Description
Felt vest has overall size of 16.5x17" and has silk-screened club emblem featuring Mickey Mouse on front while on back has a large 13" tall silk-screened full body image of Mickey Mouse. Pair of wooden buttons on front w/attached string fastener. Produced by Fisch & Company of Los Angeles, CA in 1932 for the movie theater clubs that were formed around the country. This items is featured in the Mickey Mouse And Silly Symphonies film exhibitor's campaign book (see lot #1543), which also shows promotional items for theaters sponsoring a Mickey Mouse Movie Club. Vest has a few tiny spots of surface wear but o/w wear is minimal and silk-screened images remain strong. VF/Exc. We have only offered a few of these in our 54 years. Amazingly, the consignor of this had two others that we have offered in recent auctions. Those, w/a matching fez, sold for $1,947 and $2,320. This third and final vest presents a great example to add this Disney rarity to your collection.
