Item Description
Fantomen is the name of the Swedish comic book dedicated to The Phantom, published regularly since 1950. Offered here is glossy 8.5x12" membership certificate No. 45695 for the Fantomen Klubben, featuring a blue-suited Phantom above line provided for neatly inked club member's name. This club was promoted in the first issue of Fantomen in 1950, but this certificate was not offered until issue #3. Certificate shows moderate handling wear to margins and is Fine overall. Rare and just the second we've offered in our 54 years. Comes w/19.75x25.5" poster featuring art of The Phantom by noted Italian comic artist Aurelio Galleppini (signed "Galep"). Italian, c. 1970. Text roughly translates to "The Masked Man As Seen By Galep."Poster has been rolled and has .75" margin tear at lower left. Fine/VF. Scarce. Interesting foreign pair.
