Item Description
First is 3x6.25" booklet with eight center pages plus double-sized, fold-out front and back covers to make 16 panels total. Titled "Tom Mix Jolly Autograph Book and Birthday Album" with unused pages to fill in personal information, spaces for friend's autographs and a double panel Tom Mix biography inside the back cover. Back cover names the Fox Liberty Theatre in Elizabeth (likely NJ) and announces January 1926 show dates for the November 1925 release of "Tom Mix In His Latest Picture 'The Best Bad Man'" in which Clara Bow received second billing. Cover has hairline split on lower half of spine w/a few small archival tape repairs. Trace of staple oxidation. The earliest Mix give-away we've seen and unlisted in the Hake Guide. Fine. Next, and the actual example shown in Hake's "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" is silvered brass, with "hammered" pattern, one piece bracelet with Ralston checkerboard logo and text "Tom Mix Ralston Straight Shooters" surrounding "TM" brand. Tiny bend in the metal, barely noticeable. Exc. Both pieces are the only examples known to us. Comes with Hake's COA.
