Item Description
32.25x45" frame w/27x40" opening. "Northwestern Litho Co. Milwaukee" in bottom left corner. Design features a group of laborers, military personnel (one with a "GAR" hat) and businessmen holding a large gold dollar labeled "Sound Money" on which stands McKinley w/top hat in his left hand and steadying a large American flag in his right. The background features a ship yard at left labeled "Commerce" and an industrial scene w/billowing clouds of factory smoke at right labeled "Civilization." Across the top and to the right of the candidate, additional text reads "Prosperity At Home, Prestige Abroad." Three trivial tears along top edge most notable is a less than 2" repaired tear at top, left of center, that does not affect the central graphics. A few scattered and tiny areas of color touch up contained in top third and noticeable only upon close inspection. Exc. A beautifully crafted poster from the golden age of color lithography presenting w/an abundance of fresh color and outstanding details. A center piece McKinley artifact even in the most advanced collections. Professionally framed and matted to museum standards w/"Tru-Vue" glass that protects against 97% of UV rays.
