Item Description
6.25x9.5x2" deep cardboard box pair w/illustrated lids containing complete and unused parts for Revell Kit  ©1963, 1964 Ed Roth. Kits are Angel Fink H-1307:100 and Superfink H-1308:100 models which are from a series of Mad Monster kits by Ed Roth (see previous lot). "Superfink" name is an obvious play on the "Superman" comic book logo, utilizing the same letting style. Box lid side panels show several other Roth models in the series as well as photos of Roth, who is also shown on lid's main panel artwork. Boxes have nice full-color art illustrations of Finks w/Roth in the background. Boxes have even lt. aging/wear. Both display VF/Exc. Kit parts remain unused and factory-sealed in original bag w/instruction sheet on both. NM. Iconic kits from Ed "Big Daddy" Roth who was an American artist, cartoonist, illustrator, pinstriper and custom car designer and builder who created the hot rod icon Rat Fink and other characters. Roth was a key figure in Southern California's Kustom Kulture and hot rod movement of the late 1950s and 1960s. Scarce kits as factory-sealed.
