Item Description
7" dia. by 1-5/8" deep glazed china child's dish w/image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse under glaze at center. Interior edge has thin green line decoration. Marked "© Mickey Mouse - Walt E. Disney" on reverse. 1931. Few people are aware that in addition to being known for their line of Disney dolls, the Richard G. Krueger company also had a Disney license from 1931 to 1941 to make children's chinaware, milk glass, bath sets, hot water bottles and additional products. A dish of this style and similar decoration is pictured in an early Kay Kamen merchandise catalog on a Krueger product page. Mickey and Minnie image shows some lightness as applied, but o/w dish remains glossy and Exc. Rare and first we've seen of any of this early china.
