Item Description
19.25x24" on cream stock w/"Copyright Sept. 1892 By Yale Publishing Co. New York." Portrait of Harrison w/slogan "Protection To American Industry" below. A dizzying number of slogans and graphics including: "Death To Polygamy" over Utah; "No More Chinese Nor Pauper Labor" over California and "A Free Ballot And Honest Count" across Southern states, a clear reference to the contested 1876 election. Heavy wear including; tears, tape stains from older repairs, edge losses, creases and scattered damp staining. Good. We've encountered a similar smaller vertical format variety but this is the only example we've seen of this impressive horizontal format poster. Worthy of attention by a qualified paper conservator.
