Item Description
12x17.5" on thin paper w/Jones County Times Print" at bottom center. Promoting afternoon and evening rallies in "Anamosa" & "Monticello" on "Oct. 21." John R. Caldwell was an Iowa District judge and candidate for Congress in 1896. Miss Minnie Murray billed here as "The Lady In White" became a minor celebrity after a dramatic demonstration, clad in all white attire, at the DNC in support of Iowa favorite son Horace Boies. Two vertical and three horizontal well flattened folds. Edge chips, margin tears and handling wear. VG. Likely the only surviving example.
