Item Description
Complete pinned parts assemble to form 7" tall Lion-O and 3" tall solid Snarf figure from LJN's popular 1985-1987 ThunderCats toyline. The initial wave included a figure of ThunderCats leader Lion-O, which was later re-released w/accompanying Snarf figure in 1987. Both have been authenticated as hard copy prototypes originating from a former LJN employee, though the date the figures were sanded and hand-painted cannot be pinpointed. However, both hard copies present enough details to verify their origin from LJN's original silicon molds. Lion-O comes w/hand-painted 5" long Sword of Omens and Claw Shield gauntlet. Figure does not exhibit battery port on back and eyes are solid/painted. Paint shows some minor scattered wear, including to tip of one boot, one shoulder strap, knuckles of Claw Shield and small paint rubs on back of head, shoulder, backside, calf and heels. Some scattered red paint transfer to hand from Claw Shield. Still displays VF overall. Snarf does not feature the hole bottom seen in production figures. Some scattered paint wear to back of head and tail as well as a few small paint rubs on underside. Still displays VF. Comes w/notarized Collectible Investment Brokerage (CIB) LOAs for each prototype.
