Item Description
3.5x8" decal sheet features four (three different poses) full body decals of Superman. One design is classic hands-on-hips pose while others show him breaking chains and flying. Additionally, there are four decals of Ogilvie cereal boxes (one featuring small image of Superman on front) and "Superman Says... - If It's 'Ogilvie" - It's Good!" text decal. Released by Canadian Ogilvie Cereal Co. (who also released a rare Superman premium badge) in the early 1940s. Decal sheet has even aging and is unused w/original protective sheet. Handling crease at upper left corner w/some surface paper lift on back of decal sheet, which does affect display, which remains Exc. Rare. Comes w/8.5x10-7/8" typed letter w/illustrated letterhead featuring full body image of Superman posing w/radio microphone, flanked on left by "Superman" comic book title/logo and on right by image of box of Ogilvie cereal. Two different Ogilvie product boxes appear at bottom corners. Letter mentions decal sheet and radio contest w/advertisement for Ogilvie cereals. Letter has "Superman" signature inkstamp. Folded as mailed, letter has some wear along fold lines and is Fine/VF overall. Letter is rare and is the only example we've seen or know of.
