Item Description
The 5.5" long writing unit has mechanical pencil on one end and fountain pen on the other while body and screw-on cap are Bakelite-style plastic with metal pocket clip, accent band on cap, ink-loading lever and pencil clip. On body is shield design with Purvis portrait plus text "Melvin Purvis Official Secret Operator Combination." Issued in 1937 by Post's Cereals. Screw-on cap is somewhat darkened, but evenly, compared to barrel. Ink bladder likely dried out. Pencil works but needs lead. Rare and overall VF.
