Item Description
Each 1.25" and each with W&H back paper. Denslow did the strip 1901-02 and Billy was capable of bouncing along or even flight. The earlier of these two from the "Sunday Sentinel" is a beautiful multicolor depicting Billy arm-in-arm with what seems to be an Italian grocer and a white bear with blue umbrella. While art is unsigned, we believe it is by W.W. Denslow. From 1902-1905 C.W. Kahles took over and we think his art is on the button reading "Compliments Of Billy Bounce" with tiny text naming the news syndicate " © 1904 T. C, McClure". Both rare and Exc.
