Item Description
10”x19.5”x2” deep box manufactured by Parker Bros. Inc. in 1921. Box label image features nice art picturing the Tin Man, Scarecrow, The Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, haunted trees, and a castle. Box lid has some wear to corners with some neat glue repairs and surface paper lifts. Label has some dust soiling but image remains bright. Lid FN. Incredibly detailed board measures 19”x19” and features dozens of characters from the Oz books. Center of game board is “Emerald City.” Game is complete and comes with 4”x5” instruction booklet which has nice illustration of the Cowardly Lion on front with additional character specific illustrations on each page. Booklet has a 2.25” split at spine bottom but all pages are intact. Remarkably detailed playing pieces include Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion. Playing pieces are pewter. Board is Exc. with only the lightest traces of wear. Pieces are Exc. Early and complete beautiful board game.
