Item Description
A number of different styles of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs dolls were made by Knickerbocker, Ideal and Kruger between 1938 and 1940. Original box w/Knickerbocker label (w/"Snow White Doll - No. 2" stamp) and original packing paper contains 15" tall Snow White doll, among the nicest of any made. Box has two lid corner splits and some scattered edge wear but still displays VF overall. Doll has painted composition body, movable arms, legs and head, which has raised Walt Disney 1937 copyright and Knickerbocker name on back at base of neck. Doll is costumed in original, nice quality fabric outfit - satin/velveteen dress, linen undergarments, socks and leatherette shoes w/metal buckles. Front of dress has attached die-cut 2.75x4.25" tag depicting Snow White, w/her name and tiny images of the Seven Dwarfs. Tag has evenly aged and has slight ripple/creasing. VF overall. Doll's composition parts are in the best condition we've ever seen and aside from 1" area of typical crazing to back of head, doll displays Exc. Front of dress has very faint .25" spot by tag, but this is not overly distracting and does not detract from doll's wonderful condition. Old store stock. Doll stand recommended for display.
