Item Description
15.5x20" frame w/9x13" opening. From a daguerreotype by Chilton. Published in 1844 by N. Currier. Small text below name reads "Nominated By The Liberty Party For Eleventh President of the United States." Light even age toning. Fine. Not Examined out of frame. Nicely hand colored and ready for display. The Liberty Party was born out of the  abolitionist movement. Their platform included a plank demanding "The Absolute And Unqualified Divorce of the Federal Government From Slavery, and also the Restoration of Equality of Rights Among Men, in every State where the Party Exists."
