Item Description
2.5x5.5x3.5" tall beautifully painted and glazed ceramic w/mark on underside for this Italian company that signed a contract w/Disney in 1947 which lasted for about ten years. This particular piece dates to the 1940s and depicts Cleo the Goldfish from Pinocchio. Front and top fins shows some minor wear w/surface flakes and tiny chips to top fin tips. Edges of tail fins show more moderate wear, including two .25" edge chips. Fine overall. A superbly designed figurine, not only one of the few vintage figural pieces for this character but by far the most exquisite. Rare and just the second we've offered in our 54 years.
