Item Description
1.25". W&H back paper. Issued to commemorate "Seasons of 1900-01-02." Photo shows eight men, six players in uniforms and two men in suits. Player at front center has basketball. The Webster team was one of six in the Massachusetts State Basketball League. Team member Albie"Fatty"Allard was the leagues leading scorer in 1900, his first year. Trace of rim stain, mostly on the curl. Front remains glossy w/sharp image. Fine. Very early basketball button. Rare regional issue. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
